HOW TO APPLY:
Submit Civil Service application to Schuyler County Civil Service office. Applications can be obtained at the Civil Service office at 105 Ninth St., Unit 21, Watkins Glen, NY 14981 or by visiting the Civil Service website at www.schuylercounty.us. or call the Schuyler County Civil Service office at (607) 535-8190. Review of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

VACANCY:
At the present time, there is one position currently available in the Schuyler County Community Services Department. The person hired will need to take a Civil Service Training and Experience exam at a later date and be reachable on the list to gain permanency in the position.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT:
None.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position involves serving as a member of a multi-disciplinary Treatment Team; providing comprehensive psycho-social and physical examination as needed; prescribing medications and other treatments appropriate for the patient; and collaborating/consulting with Psychiatrist as indicated. Works under the direction of the Director of Community Services

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

NYS Certified Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatric).
Experience working with children and youth is preferred.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION:
Candidates may be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and/or undergo a State and national criminal history background investigation, which will include a fingerprint check, to determine suitability for appointment. Failure to pass the preemployment drug test or to meet the standards for the background investigation may result in disqualification.
